By airlines:

Cam Ranh International Airport which is 30km from Nha Trang has replaced Nha Trang airport only used for military purpose. It is the fifth busiest airport in Viet Nam, which handles all Nha Trang's commercial flights. Vietnam Airline and Jetstar Pacific Airline has flights to Cam Ranh Airport from such big cities as HCM, Ha Noi, Da Nang; therefore, those who want to visit Nha Trang by airplanes can take it into consideration.

By railways:

Nha Trang Station is a big station of the North-South railway system. Tourists can go to Nha Trang by trains easily as all trains cross the city and stop at Nha Trang Railway Station. In addition to Reunification Railway (highly recommended), there are also normal trains (no. SNT1-2, SNT3-4, SQN1-2) which provide cheaper fare but lower service quality. Besides, a 5-star Express train linking  Ho Chi Minh-Nha Trang is also an option for passenger seeking for high-class mean of transport. Passenger can get a ticket at the train station or from travel agencies. Some of the agencies known to be located on the Pham Ngu Lao street or Dong Khoi street, district 1 Ho Chi Minh city.

Passenger should be able to buy the ticket at train station a day or so in advance before their departure, except for some special occasion such as during the Tet holiday (usually Jan or Feb)  on which tickets are fully booked months ago.
