Going to night market has become a hobby and lifestyle of locals of Can Tho city, so that Ninh Kieu night market is a promising destination for people who love shopping.
It is located on Tan An ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho and opens from 4 PM to 4 AM next morning. However, most of kiosks close before 12 PM.

There are a lot of not only upscale restaurants such as Victoria, Hoa Su, Cong Doan…..but also small bistros for popular people like Vuon Tre, Vuon Man, Hai lua……. Eating and drinking are one of main purposes of people when getting here. A bowl of Pho is just 10,000 VND, a plate of streamed thin rice pancake is 8,000 VND or a cup of sugar cane approximates 3,000 VND. Everyone can have a marvelous dinner without spending too much money on it.

Tourists are easily attracted by fresh fruit stalls showing not only many species of fruit which present typically for tropical country  but also special fruits from Western of Vietnam: Nam Roi sweet pomelos, Lo Ren star apples, Hoa Loc sweet mangoes….. If you have doubts about product’s qualities, you can try a segment and then decide to buy it or not; even the shop-assistant won’t be bothered about your behavior.

Market provides mainly clothes with quite cheap prices (almost less than 100,000VND). That’s why this place is completely suitable for common residents who do not have a high- income. Furthermore, kiosk owners are fairly honest and never overcharge. You have no need to bargain with such a reasonable price like that.

While going shopping, you may also enjoy sweet melodies coming from a restaurant on the yacht anchoring nearby.  It’s so romantic!
How sad it will be if we do not have Ninh Kieu night market. It is going to be a remarkable feature of Can Tho – Mekong delta - attracting foreign tourists and people from different parts in Vietnam.
