Hue City is considered as one of the major tourist spots in Viet Nam. It is about 700 km south of Ha Noi and about 1100 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. The city is on the National Road 1A; therefore, there are many means of transport to visit it including airplanes, buses or trains.

By trains:

Every Reunification Express Train stops off at Hue Railway Station. It takes about 20-22 hours to reach Hue from Ho Chi Minh City and 12-14 hours from Ha Noi City.

By buses:

There are many buses running from the capital of Ha Noi to Hue everyday. Normally, the trip will take tourists 15 hours. Some bus services for reference are Camel, Hung Thanh, Trekking, etc.

It is accessible to Hue city by buses from HCMC. It takes travelers about 20 hours by using such high quality bus services as Hoang Long, Thuan Thao, etc.

By airplanes:

There are about 6 Vietnam Airline's flights departing from Ha Noi/Ho Chi Minh to Hue and 1 Jetstar's flight from Ho Chi Minh to Hue. Besides, as there are more flights to Da Nang than to Hue and the distance between these two cities is only 112 km, tourists can make another choice by visiting Da Nang first, then take a bus to Hue, which only takes about two hours.
