Ba Na Mountain [Edit]

Located 40km to the southwest of Da Nang City, Ba Na Mountain lies at an altitude of 1,487m above sea-level. It has long been considered as the road to heavenly scenery thanks to the temperate climate with four seasons within a single day, unspoiled forest and the spectacular view over the city of Da Nang. When it is 36°C on the coast, the temperature at the territory varies between 17 and 20°C (62.6 - 68°F) and drops down to 15°C at night. Each of the four seasons appears in succession: spring in the morning, summer at noon, autumn in the afternoon and winter in the evening so you had better take a coat along for an overnight journey. Still, Ba Na possesses 256 types of fauna and 544 kinds of flora, in which there are 44 fauna and 6 flora of being precious recorded in Vietnamese Redbook. Moreover, Ba Na by night is more wonderful as you can attend a friendly camping fire, enjoy wine while singing and dancing around the warm fire in the coldish weather.

Ba Na is also well known for the cable car system (round-trip ticket: 160,000d/adult, 120,000d/child, free for under 1m tall children) awarded two Guinness World Records, one for the longest non-stop cable car (5,042.62m) and one for the highest non-stop cable car (1,291.81m) . Sitting in the cabin from the foot of the Ba Na Mountain to the peak of the neighbouring Vong Nguyet Hill, tourists will be able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the lush jungle and waterfalls along the way. It will take only about 15 minutes for the cable car to carry visitors to the mountain tops compared previously to almost an hour by road. Once coming to the top of Vong Nguyet Hill, tourists will have a chance to visit Linh Ung Pagoda symbolized by a 27m tall Buddha. The pagoda also has a special pine tree with three different kinds of leaves in its courtyard.

Besides, Ba Na offers a myriad of accommodation: villas, hotels, rest houses and bungalows that can help travelers take a rest after visiting many places. Food and drinks are supplied by restaurants, along with recreational activities such as karaoke, billiards and electronic games. The perfect combination of fresh air, stunning mountainous landscapes, modern cable car system as well as well-equipped hotels and villas makes Ba Na resort an ideal place for relaxation after hard days at work.
